Norskies’ Play by Play Broadcaster Bids Farewell

Thief River Falls, MN | It’s a sad day in Norskie Nation as the team and community say farewell to it’s first play by play broadcaster for the Norskies Junior A hockey club.

Craig Killmer will be moving to Park Rapids, MN to work at KDKK and KPRM radio to host their morning show and to do what he loves; play by play for local high school sports teams.

“Craig was our first broadcaster and did a great job describing each contest that the Norskies were a part of”, stated head coach Cole Workman.

Craig has called each of the Norskies 61 home games throughout the first two seasons and has been one of the biggest supporters of the club.

Former general manager Kevin McCallum recalled the first time that he met Killmer.

“I met Craig prior to starting the team and he was all in from the get go.  He was always upbeat around the arena and fun to listen to on air.  He will be missed as he added a unique element to the Norskies; there will be some big shoes to fill.  I wish him the best of luck and Park Rapids is very lucky to be gaining such a stand up guy and broadcaster,” stated McCallum.

The Norskies wish Craig Killmer all the best as he goes on his next adventure in the broadcasting world.  Good Luck!
