Jared Pedersen Commits to NCAA St Olaf Oles

Thief River Falls, MN | The Thief River Falls Norskies of the Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Friday its first NCAA commitment in the 2017-2018 season.

Norskies forward Jared Pedersen has committed to attend St Olaf College where he will attend school and skate for the Oles’ men’s hockey program.

The 20-year-old forward, who hails from Darwin, MN, is averaging just under a point per game for Thief River Falls this season with 52 in 55 contests on twenty goals and 32 assists.

“I am very excited to see Jared continue his career at St. Olaf, his work ethic has made it no surprise that he will play 4 more years of NCAA College Hockey. To catch the eye of Head Coach Mike Eaves is great compliment to Jared and I wish him nothing but the best.,” stated Thief River Falls’ head coach Cole Workman.

The Norskies, who set the pace this season in the SIJHL with wins in the first part of this past season, are expecting to go deep into the playoffs.
