Norskies Also Sign Four (4) Locals

Thief River Falls, MN | The Thief River Falls Norskies of the Superior International Junior Hockey League are pleased to announce on the eve of the AGM a trade with the Creston Valley Thunder Cats of the KIJHL for goalie Brock Lefebvre. In turn the Thunder Cats received a player development fee.

Brock comes to Thief River Falls by way of Cranbrook British Columbia, Canada.

"Brock is a big agile (6'1" - 195lbs) 1997 birth year goaltender that should fit into the Norskies line up nicely," stated head coach Cole Workman.

Brock had a 2.43 GAA and a .913 Save % last season with the Thunder Cats with a record of 21-7-1 in just 29 games.

"I am excited to be part of Norskie Nation and look forward to the challenges ahead of the team this season. I had a chance to meet some of the guys this past weekend and think it will be a great season." said Lefebvre.

The Norskies also signed four local players for the upcoming season that are bound to help solidify the winning ways that the Norskies started in their inaugural season.

"We are excited to have four great local players signed to our program, players report September 2-3 for main camp and we will then play some exhibition games against some very good Manitoba Junior teams," remarked general manager Kevin McCallum.

The Norskies are still looking for housing families for the 2017-2018 season, if you are interested please contact the housing coordinator Randi Rantanen at norskieshousing@gmail.com.
