2nd NCAA Commitment in Norskies Inaugural Season
THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. – The Thief River Falls Norskies of the Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Friday its second NCAA commitment in franchise history.
Norskies forward Tommy Stang has committed to attend Saint Mary’s University where he will attend school and skate for the Cardinals’ men’s hockey program.
The 19-year-old forward, who hails from St. Paul, MN, is averaging just under a point per game for Thief River Falls this season with 38 in 42 contests on fifteen goals and 23 assists.
“We couldn’t be more excited on Tommy’s NCAA commitment, which is also our second one as a franchise,” stated Thief River Falls’ head coach Cole Workman.
The Norskies, who lead the SIJHL in attendance this past season, are expecting more fan support in its second season which begins in September.
