Dalton Johnson Commits to Williston State Tetons

Thief River Falls, MN – The Thief River Falls Norskies of the Superior International Junior Hockey League have announced that defenseman Dalton Johnson has committed to attend Williston State College in North Dakota and play for the Tetons’ men’s program starting in the fall.

Williston State is members of the American Collegiate Hockey Association.

The Cloquet, MN, product wrapped up his final year of Jr. A hockey with Thief River Falls where he led all Norskies’ defensemen with 28 points during the course of the regular season.

Johnson came over midseason from the Iron Rangers in a trade.

“We are excited to help move Dalton on,” stated Thief River Falls’ general manager Kevin McCallum.

“He was a great leader and defenseman for us in our first year,” added McCallum.

“We know Dalton will move on and be successful in hockey and in life. Thief River Falls will truly miss this guy.”

Johnson becomes the third member of the Norskies to commit to a collegiate program joining Ryan Buttazzoni at Williston State and Reily McIntosh will be off to the State University of New York – Canton where he’ll go to school and skate for the Kanagroos men’s hockey NCAA D III program.
